High Forehand Stroke from the Back of the Court
Build an identical preparation for drop shots and clears from the backcourt. Fixing your opponent becomes a strategic weapon to make your game unreadable.

Make the choice between drop shot and clear indecisive by using an identical, paired preparation, in order to fix your opponent and set up the next shot.
The Context
In a competitive situation, a player who telegraphs their shots gives their opponent time. The concept of the paired shot, central to the OTTHN 2025, involves associating two different shots from the preparation phase so that they are indistinguishable until the very last moment.
The Concept
The paired shot relies on an identical preparation between two technical strokes with opposite trajectories. In the backcourt, the most effective pair in men's singles is the straight drop shot / offensive straight clear: same posture, same racket height, same elbow engagement. Only the final contact differentiates the two shots. This indecision forces the opponent to wait, which degrades their footwork recovery and facilitates your next shot.
How This Course Is Structured
The course progresses in 6 stages according to the Work Form × OTTHN Complexity matrix. We start with multi-shuttle drills where the coach dictates the shot, then move towards situations where the player chooses themselves, and finally towards a directed then conditioned rally where the partner must guess.
To Go Further
- Paired shot in construction — apply the concept to drives and clears.
- Paired shot in attack — extend to smashes and sliced drops.
- I-E-C Cycle — confirm the fixation through oriented replacement.

Who is this badminton course for?+
This course targets the competitive player refining their game under pressure. The selection of drills, the targeted observables and the AI's feedback tone are calibrated to that level — neither too basic nor too technical.
How long does it take to complete?+
The course is structured in 6 steps of video drills. Total estimated time on-court is around 6 minutes spread across multiple sessions — most users complete it over 2 to 4 weeks at the rate of 1 to 2 sessions per week.
What will I actually learn?+
The course focuses on the technical and tactical foundations: grip, ready position, fundamental strokes and game reading. Each step isolates one observable (a measurable aspect of the stroke or movement), films your reps, and the AI scores you with a personalized improvement axis.
Do I need a partner or coach?+
All steps in this course require a partner — either to feed shuttles in a controlled rhythm or to play themed exchanges. The AI replaces the coach's eye for technical feedback — you stay in control of when and how you train.
How much does it cost?+
The first step is free (STARTER plan). Unlocking the rest requires a BASIC subscription at €9/month — unlimited courses, no commitment.
