S2 Counter-Attacker Style: Turning Pressure into Opportunity
Immerse yourself in the S2 style: receive your opponent's attack and immediately return it with a counter drive or a finishing lift.

Embrace the S2 counter-attacking style by developing the art of instantly transforming opponent pressure into offensive opportunities.
The Context
The S2 (counter-attacker) is more active than the S1. They accept enduring the opponent's attack because they know they have the tools to turn it around. The S2 is dangerous because attacking an S2 exposes you to a counter.
The Concept
Three mechanisms define the S2:
- Basic defensive solidity: without it, no S2.
- Ready counter-drive: racket in front, ready flat for any soft smash.
- Finishing lift: on a poorly played opponent's drop shot, a lift to the extreme deep zone.
The S2 doesn't attack first. They wait for the opponent to attack, and then counter. Great court reading is required to properly identify opportunities.
How This Course Is Structured
We work on firm defense (S2 base), the counter-drive, the defense → counter sequence, game impregnation, and themed matches.
To Go Further
- Counter-attack from defense — for the technical mechanics.
- Defensive S1 style — the common patience base.

Who is this badminton course for?+
This course targets the competitive player refining their game under pressure. The selection of drills, the targeted observables and the AI's feedback tone are calibrated to that level — neither too basic nor too technical.
How long does it take to complete?+
The course is structured in 5 steps of video drills. Total estimated time on-court is around 5 minutes spread across multiple sessions — most users complete it over 2 to 4 weeks at the rate of 1 to 2 sessions per week.
What will I actually learn?+
The course focuses on tactical reading, opponent adaptation and game patterns to win key points. Each step isolates one observable (a measurable aspect of the stroke or movement), films your reps, and the AI scores you with a personalized improvement axis.
Do I need a partner or coach?+
All steps in this course require a partner — either to feed shuttles in a controlled rhythm or to play themed exchanges. The AI replaces the coach's eye for technical feedback — you stay in control of when and how you train.
How much does it cost?+
This OTTHN course is reserved for PRO subscribers (€39/month). The first step is accessible with a BASIC plan to discover the competitive approach before upgrading.
