Intention-Execution-Confirmation Cycle
Articulate a clear intention, execute it with precision, then confirm by recovering for the next shot. The signature of the proactive player.

Build each rally as a succession of I-E-C cycles, transitioning from a reactive player to a proactive player who anticipates and directs the next shot.
The Context
The Intention-Execution-Confirmation (I-E-C) cycle is the core of proactivity according to the OTTHN 2025. It transforms the reactive player (who endures the situation) into a proactive player (who creates and anticipates). Each shot is both the end of one cycle and the beginning of the next.
The Concept
- Intention: Before hitting, the player has a clear projection of the shot they are about to play AND the probable next shot (ideal world).
- Execution: The technical shot serving the intention (trajectory, fixation, quality).
- Confirmation: The oriented recovery validates or invalidates the initial intention. If the fixation worked, the expected next shot occurs. Otherwise, immediate adjustment.
How This Course Is Structured
The course makes each phase of the cycle explicit, first in multi-shuttle drills (the intention is imposed), then in free play (the intention is chosen), and finally in a match where confirmation becomes a real-time decision-making tool.
To Go Further
- Even high-hand strike — execution serving intention.
- Hitting foot and footwork recovery — confirmation embodied.

Who is this badminton course for?+
This course targets the competitive player refining their game under pressure. The selection of drills, the targeted observables and the AI's feedback tone are calibrated to that level — neither too basic nor too technical.
How long does it take to complete?+
The course is structured in 5 steps of video drills. Total estimated time on-court is around 5 minutes spread across multiple sessions — most users complete it over 2 to 4 weeks at the rate of 1 to 2 sessions per week.
What will I actually learn?+
The course focuses on the technical and tactical foundations: grip, ready position, fundamental strokes and game reading. Each step isolates one observable (a measurable aspect of the stroke or movement), films your reps, and the AI scores you with a personalized improvement axis.
Do I need a partner or coach?+
All steps in this course require a partner — either to feed shuttles in a controlled rhythm or to play themed exchanges. The AI replaces the coach's eye for technical feedback — you stay in control of when and how you train.
How much does it cost?+
The first step is free (STARTER plan). Unlocking the rest requires a BASIC subscription at €9/month — unlimited courses, no commitment.
